INTERNSHIP
At Woman Up Cleveland, we are dedicated to empowering the future generation of leaders.
That's why we host a five-month internship program for two students each year.
From January to May, two deserving students from Northeast, OH will be our Events Intern and Administration Intern. Students will learn the ins and outs of running a non-profit organization, lead a fundraiser in the Spring, plan our annual Summer Social, and more!
Congratulations to Joodie Ahmad and Ananya Rao for being selected as our Events and Administration Interns for 2026!
WHAT TO EXPECT
Woman Up Cleveland hosts two high school students to participate in our Internship Program!
This internship program provides students with a unique opportunity to learn and a hands-on experience leading a Cleveland-OH Non-Profit 501(c)(3) Organization.
Participating interns will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative and individual environment with the primary goal of achieving our mission. We encourage each intern to explore their true interests during this internship. Alex and Shannon welcome the interns to propose unique ideas which will better their internship experience; it's truly what you make of it!

AUNNA DUNCAN + ARYA BABU
Events Intern / Administration Intern
Our second round of interns came to impress! Out of 31 students who applied, Aunna and Arya proved their drive and desire to impact our Cleveland community from the moment we met them. Their fresh ideas and detailed researching led them to the Spring 2025 Fundraiser "Homebrewed Hope", a tea party benefitting The Haven Home. Through their efforts, we were able to raise $2,574 for The Haven Home, a local transitional housing program for pregnant and parenting women with children under age 5. They also hosted an entire newsletter section, were flawless leaders at The Summer Social, and brought positivity and encouragement to our organization. They have left a mark on us and we are forever proud to have Aunna and Arya with us in 2025 as our second class of interns!

DENELLE BOYD + JILLIAN JAROSZEWICZ
Events Intern / Administration Intern
Our first round of interns truly left its mark on our organization! Out of 19 students who applied, these two ladies truly impressed us. Denelle and Jillian presented the idea for SAY YES TO THE PROM DRESS Event, crafted our monthly newsletter guides, assisted with merchandise selection, and were true leaders at our fourth annual Summer Social. These ladies ensured that every detail was perfect, their energy and passion for Woman Up Cleveland’s mission shone through, and they helped to create lasting memories for so many women in our community. We are so incredibly proud and grateful to have Denelle and Jillian with us in 2024 as our first ever Woman Up Cleveland interns!
